Donald Chase says that the Democrats need to be more gracious in defeat, and Daniel C. Glad talks about being "good losers."
Golly, if the elephants were playing the donkeys in softball and the donkeys lost, I might say "Gosh-darn it, that's a shame! Maybe next year." Then I would congratulate the elephants and watch them dump Gatorade all over themselves.
But given what the next 48 months will be like as a result of a measly 51 percent majority who prefer Bush I hope no one minds if I go ahead and take the rest of the month of November to be miffed.
It's easy to be "glad" when things go your way.
