FORT COLLINS, Colo. Both the BYU men's and women's cross country teams are heading back to the NCAA Cross Country Championships next weekend, after the each finished second at the NCAA Mountain Regionals.
The Utah State women tied for third in the meet, while the men were seventh. Both will have to wait until later in the week to see whether they qualify for the national-title meet.
Colorado finished first in both men's and women's regional competition.
BYU sophomore Josh Rohatinsky finished fourth overall, with a time of 29:52.7 Behind Rohatinsky was teammate Brian Lindsay, in sixth.
Cougar Laura Turner ran in 20:31.6, which placed her third overall among women, with teammates Heidi Magill, sixth, and Rena Chesser, seventh.
Utah finished ninth in women's and 10th in men's. Southern Utah was ninth in men's. Weber State was seventh in women's and 12th in men's.
