The D minor Trio didn't undergo quite the same rigorous revisions as the symphony, although the composer had a difficult time being satisfied with what he had written. "He continued to fuss with it for years," Rosenberg said. "It ended up being published in two versions." The version most frequently heard is the revised one, while the original score is all but forgotten today.

Rounding out Monday's concert will be two pieces by the late Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla, "Oblivion" and "Autumn" from "The Seasons." "These are both very beautiful pieces," said Rosenberg.

The Paradigm Trio will also play the same program in Cedar City on Nov. 20 as part of their Utah Performing Arts Tour.

Monday's concert is a benefit for Utahns Against Hunger, an organization that Rosenberg has frequently supported. It takes place in the Paradigm Series' new home, the First United Methodist Church.
