When I read Ms. Bott's letter (Readers' Forum, Nov. 9) about the anti-fluoridation push, I especially found her statement interesting that "The 49 percent who voted 'no' are independent, intelligent thinkers contrary to the childish rhetoric and name-calling from pro-fluoride activists."
Why is it that all I could think when I read that was something about pots and kettles? Saying I resort to "childish rhetoric and name-calling," then in the same sentence saying I am neither an independent thinker or intelligent, is definitely the pot calling the kettle black. If fluoride is so bad for my toddler, why is my pediatrician glad when I say that he drinks fluoridated water?
