UVSC hosts volleyball tourney

OREM — Utah Valley State College hosts the women's Division I Independent Volleyball Championship today through Saturday at the McKay Events Center on the UVSC campus.

The tournament is a round-bobin format with all seven teams play each other once over the course of the three days. There will be seven matches each day beginning at 10 a.m. and running through the final game, starting at 7 p.m. The team with the best overall record is the winner.

The seven teams are Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (19-9), North Dakota St. (10-17), No. Colorado (20-8), Texas A&M Corpus Christi (16-13), South Dakota St. (17-11), Texas Pan-American (10-17), and UVSC (9-12).

Thursday's matches

10 a.m. - IPFW vs. NDSU; UNC vs. TAMUCC

12:30 p.m. - UVSC vs. SDSU

3 p.m. - NDSU vs. UTPA

5 p.m. - UNC vs. IPFW; TAMUCC vs. SDSU

7 p.m. - UVSC vs. Texas Pan-Am

Friday's matches

10 a.m. - TAMUCC vs. UTPA; UNC vs. SDSU

12:30 p.m. - UVSC vs. NDSU

3 p.m. - IPFW vs. TAMUCC

5 p.m. - UTPA vs. SDSU; UNC vs. NDSU

7 p.m. - UVSC vs. IPFW

Saturday's matches

10 a.m. - IPFW vs. SDSU; UNC vs. UTPA

12:30 p.m. - UVSC vs. TAMUCC

3 p.m. - NDSU vs. SDSU

5 p.m. - UVSC vs. UNC; IPFW vs. UTPA
