UEA running good-teacher cable ads

The Utah Education Association has started running public service announcements on cable stations about good teachers.

The 18,000-member teachers union played the ads at its annual convention Thursday. Ads feature teachers in their classrooms, talking about students or their love for the profession. They end with the inscription: "Teachers touch lives."

"We have great teachers out there, and now everyone's going to know it," UEA President Pat Rusk said.
