Curse's foiled! World champions — at long last

Boston Red Sox players celebrate after beating the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-0, to complete a four-game sweep of the World Series. Their triumph brings an end to the 85-year-old "Curse of the Bambino," which was invoked after the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. Wednesday's win was Boston's eighth straight in the postseason.
