A Salt Lake attorney pleaded guilty to enticing a minor over the Internet, a third-degree felony, Monday in 3rd District Court.
Gregory Preston Cohen, 35, went into an Internet chat room and asked to have sex with an undercover agent posing as a young girl. He claimed to be 19 years old and arranged to meet the minor, a statement from the Utah Attorney General's Office said.
Cohen is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 3, 2005, before Judge Ann Boyden.
Paul Amann, an assistant attorney general who prosecutes such crimes, said he will send a letter to the Utah Bar Association requesting it review Cohen's status with the organization, according to the statement.
