The Salt Lake Branch NAACP will hold its annual Life Membership and Freedom Fund Banquet this Friday.
Keith D. Wright, Fannie Mae vice president for regional management, housing and community development, will speak at the event, which starts with a 6 p.m. reception. It will be at the Grand America Hotel, 555 S. Main St.
"Join us as we salute the extraordinary accomplishments of our awardees and life members of the NAACP," branch president Jeanetta Williams said.
Awards to be presented include the Albert B. Fritz Civil Rights Worker of the Year Award. Fritz was president of the Salt Lake Branch from 1957 to 1965.
