Auditions set for 2 stage productions

Auditions are scheduled for two upcoming regional stage productions.

• THE EGYPTIAN THEATRE COMPANY, Park City, for its production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar," scheduled to run Feb. 11-March 6, and directed by Dana Keiter. Auditions are Saturday from 2:30-5:30 p.m., in the Utah Opera & Symphony Building, 336 N. 400 West. (Due to the Sundance Film Festival, most rehearsals will also be held in Salt Lake City.)

Come prepared with 32 bars of an upbeat rock song or a musical-theater song in the same style. All roles are open. David Evanoff is musical director. Auditions are by appointment only (435-645-0671).

• THE GRAND THEATRE, 1575 S. State, is holding auditions on Oct. 30 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. for "Godspell," directed by Anne Stewart Mark. Movement auditions will be held later that afternoon for those who pass the vocal auditions.

Roles are available for performers 16-35 of all ethnicities. Come prepared with 32 bars of a rock, gospel or folk song. An accompanist will be provided. Callbacks will be Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only (957-3322).
