OREM, Utah — Former Brigham Young University athletic director Val Hale is now working in the community relations department for Utah Valley State College.

Hale will be the key contact for a soon-to-be-formed community relations council.

The college is forming the council in the wake of the controversy over filmmaker Michael Moore speaking there later this month.

Hale said he also will be working on a number of other projects with President William Sederburg.

BYU officials last month replaced Hale and women's athletic director Elaine Michaelis by a team of administrators in what the university called a major restructuring.
