PROVO THEATRE COMPANY will hold auditions for Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols: The Musical" on Monday, 5:30-7 p.m. in the theater, 105 E. 100 North. Previously performed in a "theatrical-concert" version, McLean's songs have been adapted for the stage by his son, Scott.
Come prepared with 16 bars of a contemporary musical-theater piece. There will also be cold readings from the script. There are roles for two men and two women John, a 40-to-60-year-old man; Constance, a 30-to-45-year-old woman, with the other two in no specific age range playing multiple roles.
Play dates are Nov. 12-Jan. 1. Bradley Moss is directing, with Marcie Jacobsen as musical director (379-0600).
BOUNTIFUL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER will hold auditions for "The Rented Christmas," directed by Chris Garison and Candy Revels, on Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon at 745 S. Main in Bountiful.
There are roles for children and young adults ages 6-18. Adult roles are for men and women age 30 and over. Families are encouraged to audition together. Roles will be double cast. Children and young adults should come prepared with a short a cappella song. All auditioners will be asked to read from the script.
