Lost (7 p.m., Ch. 4): In the conclusion of the two-part series premiere, we find out a few things about the castaways — but nothing much about the monster.

Origins (7 p.m., Ch. 7): The conclusion of this two-part, four-hour look at the origins of the universe.

That '70s Show (7 p.m., Ch. 13): Red offers Hyde a job.

Smallville (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Clark and Lois investigate Chloe's apparent murder.

Quintuplets (7:30 p.m., Ch. 13): Bob worms his way into Parker's band.

CSI (8 p.m., Ch. 2): CBS is inserting a rerun here and delaying the season premiere of "King of Queens" and the series premiere of "Center of the Universe" until next week.

The Apprentice (8 p.m., Ch. 5): Because of Thursday's presidential debate, NBC moves this show up a day. Unfortunately for Donald Trump (who got murdered in the ratings by "CSI" last week), CBS is airing that "CSI" rerun against him.

Bernie Mac (8 p.m., Ch. 13): Bernie insists that he, not Wanda, teach Vanessa to drive.

Kevin Hill (8 p.m., Ch. 24): Debut of this very promising new series about a single lawyer (Taye Diggs) whose life changes when his cousin dies and leaves him custody of an infant girl.

CSI: NY (9 p.m., Ch. 2): Last week, this upstart handily beat "Law & Order" in the ratings. In tonight's episode, a woman is brutally attacked in Central Park.

Law & Order (9 p.m., Ch. 5): Candice Bergen guest-stars as a judge whose life is threatened during a murder trial.
