OREM Artwork produced by 20 Sudanese artists, including a BYU student, will be on display at the Utah Valley State College Woodbury Art Museum through Oct. 23.
Entitled "The Lost Boys of Sudan, the Hidden Holocaust" the exhibit is a project compiled by BYU student Atem Aleu, one of thousands who fled Sudan during a brutal civil war that is still ravaging the country.
The exhibit will be shown in conjunction with "The Women: Finding New Life in America" a series of watercolors depicting Sudanese women living in Salt Lake City by Bevan Chipman.
The exhibit is free and open to the public. The UVSC Woodbury Art Museum, located at University Mall in Orem, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., except Wednesday, when it stays open until 8 p.m.
For more information about the exhibit or other upcoming events at the museum, visit www.uvsc.edu/gallery or call 426-6199.
