Salt Lake-based online closeout retailer Overstock.com is scheduled to be featured on the Sept. 27 "Today" show on NBC.
The morning show will focus one segment on how the company has helped artisans worldwide sell their products through Overstock's "socially responsible goods" department, Worldstock.
In preparing for the segment, the show's producers interviewed Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne and Worldstock director Neelab Kanishka. Interviews were conducted in New York City and Salt Lake City, and camera crews were sent to Afghanistan to videotape Worldstock artisans at work.
