OREM — An apparent disappointment over a lost football game landed a 15-year-old Orem boy in youth detention Friday.

Police said the teen was intoxicated following the Timpanogos-Spanish Fork prep football game at Timpanogos High.

The Spanish Fork team and fans were seated on a bus getting ready to head back to Spanish Fork when the boy threatened them with a knife, police said.

Spanish Fork had just beaten Timpanogos 28-21 during the Orem school's homecoming.

Police arrested the youth for investigation of intoxication, disorderly conduct and brandishing a weapon.
