The Utah State Fair, North Temple and 1000 West, started Thursday and will continue through Sunday, Sept. 19.
Daily hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Regular admission costs are $7 adults, $6 for seniors (age 62 and older), $5 for youths 6-16; and children 5 and younger are free. Tickets are by cash or credit cards only; no checks are accepted.
Everyday discounts include a $5 admission for sale at any Smith Food and Drug Store and $12 all-you-can-ride carnival wristbands.
Parking in a State Fair lot costs $4 Monday to Thursday and $5 Friday through Sunday. Limited free street parking near the Fairpark is also available but do not block residential driveways or access.
UTA buses 18, 19, 20, 26, 43 and 50 travel by or near the Fairpark.
All-day ride coupons for the carnival attractions cost $16 for all-day, or individually the cost is $1 a coupon. Rides require two to four coupons each.
