I disagree that Sheri Dew should not have gone to the GOP convention. Sheri Dew may be the president of Deseret Book, but she has been released from her position as a member of the Relief Society General Presidency. She already serves as a White House delegate and private sector adviser to the Commission on the Status of Women. Should she resign from this as well?
I think that instead of a bad thing, this is a great opportunity for members of the church to receive attention from others, especially others who share many of our beliefs.
