Extras: Full frame, 31 episodes, making-of featurettes, deleted footage, outtakes, lost scenes, restored music, original openings, animated sequences, scripts, text production notes, song selections, text bios, promotional spots, five radio episodes of "My Favorite Husband," optional languages (English, Spanish), optional subtitles (English, Spanish), chapters.
"Vendetta for the Saint" (MPI, 1967, not rated, $14.98). This "movie" is actually a compilation of two episodes a two-part story from the "Saint" TV series, which had been a black-and-white British program but became a color hourlong entry into the NBC prime-time schedule in 1967.
A pre-007 Roger Moore plays the dapper, sophisticated "thief," who actually spends most of his time getting involved with other people's problems, as in this adventure, set in Malta. He investigates a mistaken-identity killing and finds himself involved with Italian mobsters.
Extras: Full frame, audio commentary, chapters.
"History of the '80s" (MPI, 1990, not rated, $89.98, three discs). ABC News produced this series of 10 hourlong overviews of each year in the decade of the 1980s. If you're looking for enlightenment, or even explanations, look elsewhere. This is merely a quick-read 30-to-90-second commentary on the most prominent issues and events, primarily political, but also veering off into the show-biz arena. From the Iran hostage crisis of 1980 to the savings-and-loan crisis of 1989, it's not without some entertainment value, but it gets a little wearing to watch very many episodes back to back.
Extras: Full frame, chapters.
"Celia Cruz & Friends: A Night of Salsa" (PBS/Paramount, 1999, not rated, $19.99). Flamboyant "Salsa Queen" Celia Cruz, along with Tito Puente, La India and Johnny Pacheco, perform lotsa salsa in this lively, entertaining live PBS concert special.
Extras: Full frame, discography, chapters.
