East Hollywood High School is accepting applications for enrollment this fall. The new charter school is Utah's first public high school with a curriculum focused on film production.

Elective classes include script writing, cinematography, sound, lighting, acting, directing, makeup, costume design, special effects, editing, and newscast production while the school follows the state core curriculum.

The school is at 2185 S. 3600 West in the studios previously occupied by KUTV2 and offers grades nine through 12. The school is currently undergoing a $1.4 million renovation that will result in a state-of-the art facility.

Charter schools are free and open to the public.
