The New York Times was fooled into publishing the "article" on Teresa Heinz Kerry's donations to the Tides Foundation. Thankfully, the Deseret Morning News does not follow the New York Times in blindly publishing Internet opinion articles as fact.
There are a number of Web sites devoted to tracking down the truth behind rumors. Aaron Orullian should particularly take note of www.snopes.com. He will be disappointed, as the site debunks much of what he considers the truth about John Kerry.
Your paper should feature information from the Internet. But such a feature should also include the truth.
