Rayburn's pick: Timpview
AMERICAN FORK AT MOUNTAIN VIEW: Bruins fans are anxious to see if their team is improved and can play four competitive quarters this season. The Cavemen faithful want to know if coach Davis Knight was truthful when he said his team is not as big and fast as others. History says Knight is probably a pretty good poker player.
Rayburn's pick: American Fork
HILLCREST AT SPRINGVILLE: The Huskies are anxious to put off-field issues behind them and return to helmet-to-helmet combat. After the Red Devils' Trevyn Smith, Mike Wing and Scott Pickering are done racking up the yardage and sticking a pitch fork in them, the Huskies will be more anxious to get back on the bus.
WOODS CROSS AT TIMPANOGOS: Frank Bramall is back in the saddle again, and the T-Wolves should respond with new enthusiasm and energy. However, the Wildcats can win this game, if they can get all of their players back from Bountiful before kickoff.
Rayburn's pick: Timpanogos
VIEWMONT AT OREM: Coaches around Utah County say the Tigers are good. The Tigers, however, seem a little unsure of themselves. But after tearing apart the Vikings, they'll be polishing up their claws, smiling and looking forward to their next feast.
Rayburn's pick: Orem
PINE VIEW AT LEHI: The Pioneers are hoping their defense can keep them in games early on until their offense gets rolling. However, the rumor mill has it that the Panthers are rolling into town, parking right next to the rolling mill, with a team capable of rolling over most anyone. The Pioneers will have a difficult time carting off with a win in this one.
Rayburn's pick: Pineview
