Why the reluctance, on the part of the mainstream media, to cover the allegations of more than 250 Vietnam Swift Boat veterans concerning John Kerry's fitness to be president? "Unfit for Command," a book by John O'Neill, contains information from affidavits by dozens of eyewitnesses to Kerry's "heroics" during the Vietnam era. This time period was emphasized heavily and positively during the Democrat convention, while Kerry's 30-year term in the Senate was virtually ignored. If the accounts from these men who served with Kerry are true, his truthfulness and leadership ability are seriously in question. Contrast this lack of coverage with the media's nonstop reporting of charges of "AWOL" and "draft dodging" by President Bush.
