Boston Pops conductor and Utah Symphony music director Keith Lockhart has separated from his wife, Boston Symphony Orchestra violinist Lucia Lin.
The couple, who have been married nearly eight years and have an 11-month-old son, asked for privacy in a short statement issued by Symphony Hall Friday.
"Mr. Lockhart and Ms. Lin are working amicably and cooperatively together toward a joint resolution of their affairs," the statement said.
Lin is a first violinist for the BSO. The two have performed together in Lin's chamber music group, Innuendo.
