IDAHO FALLS — After tying the game at 3-3 in the third inning, the Provo Angels (7-3) allowed seven runs over the remaining six innings to lose 10-3 to the Idaho Falls Chukars.

Billy Butler led the Chukars (4-6) with four hits, one being a home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Idaho Falls cranked out 17 hits off the Angel pitching staff.

Idaho Falls scored three runs in the first inning. The Angels then scored two runs in the second and one in the third to tie the game. Josh LeBlanc and Chris Walston recorded the Angels two RBIs in the second inning.

Provo concludes its series at Idaho Falls tonight and then begins a three-game series at Ogden on Monday.

ROCKIES 4, RAPTORS 1: Travis Denker's sixth-inning sacrifice fly scored Ogden's only run in the past two games in a loss at Casper.

Lucas May scored the run when he led off the inning with a walk and advanced on Cory Dunlap's single. Brandon Carter and B.J. Richmond each had two hits in the loss. The Raptors have now scored just one run in their past 20 innings against the Rockies.

The series concludes this afternoon at 5 p.m. David Pfeiffer gets the call to wrap up Ogden's seven-game road trip.

Casper got on top early and never relented. With two outs in the first inning, Dustin Hahn drew a walk on a 3-2 count. Seth Smith then doubled him home and Smith came home on a dropped pop fly from Justin Nelson. Mike Davies' single scored Nelson and gave the Rockies a 3-0 lead against Ogden and Blake Johnson.

Meanwhile, Casper starter Samuel Deduno struck out four Raptors in the first inning. He fanned seven in the first three innings and 10 overall in his six innings of work. Deduno got the win to even his season record at 3-3 and his record vs. the Raptors at 2-2. George Delgado pitched the ninth for his sixth save of the year.

The Rockies' final run came in the third inning against Johnson. Chris Nelson drew a leadoff walk and Hahn singled to left to advance him to third base. Smith then singled Nelson home and Casper led 4-0. Johnson finished strong, however. He pitched out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam to keep it a four-run game and ended up striking out four of the last seven batters he faced.

The Raptors got two baserunners on in the ninth Inning, but failed to score. Ogden has now lost five of its last six on this road trip and returns home Monday to face the Provo Angels.
