I totally agree with Kate Sadler (Readers' Forum, Aug. 2). Adults wonder why young people do what we do, but they never ask us directly. I know a lot of teens that have good opinions about the world and the issues. I personally think that adults don't believe we go through a lot, but we do. We deal with drugs, sex, peer pressure, the media and homes that have only one parent. I know my parents had to deal with a lot of this stuff, but not to the magnitude we do.
I agree with Kate: "Adults don't know everything and neither do we, but if we work together, maybe we can put the pieces together a little easier and close the gap."
