Question: Just curious: Is David Gallagher of "7th Heaven" related to Peter Gallagher of "The O.C."? They have the same eyes and eyebrows.
Question: What happened to my favorite, "Judging Amy"? When will it be back on?
Answer: "Judging Amy" will probably be back in reruns before the fall season starts, and it will be back in the fall as well, same time on Tuesday nights.
Question: "To Kill a Mockingbird" is a great movie that will stay in my memory forever. I'm wondering about the young actress who played Gregory Peck's daughter, Scout. What has become of her in real life? Who was the narrator of the movie? Thanks!
Answer: Kim Stanley provided the narration of Scout as an adult. And Scout was played wonderfully by Mary Badham. She did very little acting after that. She appeared in two 1966 movies, "Let's Kill Daddy" and "This Property Is Condemned." On TV she appeared in a 1963 episode of "Dr. Kildare" and a 1964 episode of "The Twilight Zone." She will appear again in "Our Very Own," a movie set for release next year that stars Keith Carradine and Allison Janney. In real life, she's the sister of John Badham, who directed "Stakeout," "WarGames" and "Blue Thunder," among other movies.
Question: In the original "Lost in Space," did the Robinsons ever get back to Earth, or to Alpha Centauri, where they were originally headed? Also, how many seasons did the show run?
Answer: The Robinsons never made it back, and if you look closely at some of the footage the Mars Rover sent back to Earth, you can see some candy wrappers Will Robinson dropped in 1994! "Lost in Space" ran on CBS from 1965-68.
Question: I saw a movie with James Garner in it, I think. It is named "Homps." It's about a cavalry unit that has camels. I'm having trouble finding it. I believe it is a Disney movie. Is it on video?
Answer: Actually, the movie is called "Hawmps!," it doesn't have James Garner in it, and how entertaining you will find it depends on how funny you find the idea of guys riding camels. It was released in 1976. It stars James Hampton and Christopher Connelly, and it's on video.
Question: I was watching an episode of "The Cosby Show" where a tile falls off the shower and Mrs. Huxtable calls some plumber friends of their oldest daughter. I could have sworn that the white plumber in the group looked exactly like a younger version of Ben Stiller! Are my suspicions correct, or are my premonitions faux?
