WRONGLY ACCUSED, by J. Michael Hunter, Covenant, 215 pages, $14.95, softcover. Brad Armstrong is a college freshman who spends the holidays with his family in Salt Lake City. He is stunned to be called a cold-blooded killer by police detectives — and he summons all his faith and intellect to prove he is wrongly accused.

SNAKEWATER AFFAIR: A SPIDER LATHAM MYSTERY, by Liz Adair, Deseret Book, 248 pages, $13.95, softcover. This is the third "Spider Latham" novel by Adair, who lives in Ferndale, Wash. In this book, Latham takes a leave from his job as deputy sheriff in Panaca, Nev., to solve a mysterious disappearance. Soon he is in over his head.

FINDING PARADISE, by Michele Ashman Bell, Covenant, 250 pages, $14.95, softcover. Set on Cancun, this novel focuses on teenager Morgan Rose, a girl who, while acting as maid of honor at a wedding, becomes attracted to the groom's best man. They have only a brief time to test their relationship.

GLIMPSES OF LEHI'S JERUSALEM, edited by John Welch, David Seely and Jo Ann Seely, FARMS, 669 pages, $29.95, hardcover. This is the first book ever to examine Lehi's Old World environment. Nineteen scholars combine their expertise to write essays about the city and its times, including politics, culture, archaeology, women, agriculture, literacy, law, history and religion.

MORMONS AT THE MISSOURI: WINTER QUARTERS, 1846-1852, by Richard E. Bennett, University of Oklahoma Press, 357 pages, $19.95, softcover. Formerly published in hardcover, this book has been re-issued to include the author's additional information about the Mormon trek from Illinois to the Salt Lake Valley, and the particular hardships experienced at Winter Quarters near present-day Omaha.

VOICES FROM THE DUST: BOOK OF MORMON INSIGHTS, by S. Kent Brown, Covenant, 219 pages, $18.95, hardcover. Written by a professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University, this is a study of six sets of heroes and heroines in the Book of Mormon. Brown finds evidence that the female travelers exhibited remarkable strength during Lehi's journey.

BEFORE ZION: AN ACCOUNT OF THE 7TH HANDCART COMPANY, by Allen C. Christensen, Council Press, 356 pages, $22.95, softcover. The author, the director of the Benson Agriculture and Food Institute at BYU, tells the story of the seventh handcart company of LDS pioneers made up of Scandinavian converts.
