We were looking forward to viewing the replay of the Tabernacle Choir's 75th anniversary concert. Having attended one of the live presentations, I wanted to "relive" that marvelous, well-planned and interesting production only to find the TV version very disappointing! How could the producers leave out the narration, the historical vignettes and Charles Osgood, whom they had used over and over again in their announcements of the event? How insulting to him!
As marvelous as the choir and orchestra are and were that night "we've heard the music before." Cut out were the elements that made the concert the beautiful commemoration that it was meant to be.
How very sad!
