HaleStorm Entertainment, which produces made-in-Utah films geared to the LDS audience ("The Singles Ward," "The R.M.," "The Home Teachers"), has announced a contest to select someone for a walk-on role in "Church Ball," which begins filming in September.
Kurt Hale, president of HaleStorm, notes that the film "is not just Mormon-specific. Church basketball is part of so many religions out there, the Mormons just happen to make it (in)famous."
The contest is open to anyone 14 and older. To enter the contest, which is a sweepstakes, visit the www.churchball.com Web site. Deadline for submitting an entry is Sept. 1.
