Time line: Lori Hacking case
Erin Galbraith, one of Lori Hacking's best friends, who was also her college roommate for three years, says Lori and her husband, Mark, attended a housewarming party in Bountiful Sunday night. She says Lori talked about how excited she was to move to North Carolina.
MONDAY, JULY 19
Between 5:30 and 6 a.m. Lori Hacking reportedly goes running in Memory Grove.
5:50 a.m. Originally it was reported that area resident Joan Mullaney saw Lori Hacking stretching near the front gates of the park. But Mullaney now says: "It was never really clear that it was her," of the brown-haired woman clad in red and gray she saw.
10 a.m. Early reports indicate Mark Hacking started looking for his missing wife. But Chad Downs, owner of Bradley's Sleep Etc., says Mark Hacking walked into his store just before 10 a.m.
10:30 a.m. Mark Hacking leaves the parking lot after store employees help him tie the mattress to the top of the car.
10:45 a.m. Family friends knock on the door of Memory Grove resident Nancy Becker, in front of whose home Lori's car was parked, asking if she had seen Lori running or noticed anything unusual.
10:49 a.m. Mark Hacking calls 911 to report his wife had disappeared, police say. When police arrive at Memory Grove, Mark Hacking is already there, Salt Lake police detective Dwayne Baird says.
10 p.m. Mark Hacking calls Deseret Morning News reporter Laura Hancock for a short interview.
TUESDAY, JULY 20
2 a.m. Mark Hacking reportedly was picked up by police at the Chase Suite Hotel, after police dispatchers took a call about a "disturbance." Police won't confirm that Mark Hacking was found naked except for a pair of sandals, but they say that Mark Hacking clearly needed medical attention and that his family was called.
