The article in the July 21 edition of the Deseret Morning News titled "Draper councilman declines Harvard" might have been more appropriately titled "Harvard declines Draper councilman." One wonders if this short article is even newsworthy. The article does not say whether or not Ryan Davies has been formally accepted at Harvard or if he even applied. All we know from the article is that he had planned to attend the "Harvard School of Business" and that he changed his mind about going.
Could it be that he changed his mind because he couldn't get into Harvard? We are only left to wonder.
If proper use of grammar is a factor for admissions at Harvard, then statements like "staying in Utah is the best thing for my family and I" certainly won't help Davies get in.
