The Jazz trimmed their Rocky Mountain Revue roster to 12 Thursday, cutting four players on the final day of training camp before play gets under way in the nine-day, 11-team summer league.

Released were former Maine center Justin Rowe, ex-Samford forward Marc Salyers, former UNC-Charlotte forward Jermaine Williams and ex-George Washington guard Shawnta Rogers.

That leaves seven free agents, plus Jazz regulars Raul Lopez, Curtis Borchardt and Mo Williams and recently signed first-round draft picks Kris Humphries and Kirk Snyder.

The free agents who survived the cut: former Weber State point guard Jermaine Boyette, ex-Loyola Marymount center Peter Cornell, former Syracuse swingman Kueth Duany, ex-New Mexico guard Ruben Douglas, former USC guard Desmon Farmer, ex-Northern Arizona center Dan McClintock and former Dayton forward Keith Waleskowski.

Humphries and Snyder make their Utah debut when the Jazz open Revue play tonight at 8 versus Portland. Utah will play seven games, the last coming at 4 p.m. on July 24 versus Phoenix.

Action in the summer league for NBA rookies, free agents and youngsters begins at 2 p.m. today, when expansion Charlotte opens against Atlanta. Also scheduled today: Chicago versus Seattle at 4 p.m. and Dallas vs. Indiana at 6 p.m.

Four games will be every day from today through next Friday, with three games scheduled July 24. NBA TV will air 10 of the 35 games, and four Jazz games — 8 p.m. Monday vs. Denver, 8 p.m. Tuesday vs. Chicago, 8 p.m. Thursday vs. Atlanta and 8 p.m. next Friday vs. Charlotte — will be shown locally on KJZZ TV.

The 11th team participating: San Antonio.

Besides Boyette, other local products scheduled to play are Atlanta regular Travis Hansen, the former BYU guard, and Viewmont High product Jackson Vroman, the Phoenix big man selected in the second round of last June's NBA Draft.

Admission is $8 for an all-day individual pass, $36 for a six-person family pass. All game are played at the Lifetime Activities Center on the Redwood Road campus of Salt Lake Community College.
