The Bicknell International Film Festival, billed as the "smallest international film festival in the world," returns Friday and Saturday.

Now in its ninth year, the festival is showcasing films about "what lurks in the dirt," according to organizer James Anderson. Included will be screenings of "The Gardener," "The Evil Seed," and the 1956 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."

Most events for the mini-festival will be held in the Wayne Theater in Bicknell, Wayne County, just down the road from Capitol Reef National Park. The festival will also feature the World's Fastest Parade, which reaches speeds of 65 mph.

And unlike other, bigger events, this one has ample parking, Anderson noted.

Previous BIFFs, as the festival is affectionately known, have spotlighted films about UFOs and giant insects, and attendance has been growing steadily each year.
