At a meeting of the Kaysville City Council to consider bonding for a new library and an outdoor swimming pool, Councilman Pace handed out a pamphlet. The last eight pages of the pamphlet included the results of a survey that was made concerning building a library and a swimming pool.
I was amazed that the results of the survey indicated that Kaysville residents do not want to bond for a new library or an outdoor swimming pool. Why doesn't the City Council just accept the results and save the money that an election will cost? I am sure the results will be the same as the survey.
No one has been more supportive of the needs of Kaysville in regard to the swimming pool and a new library than Mayor Bryan Cook. However, we have all been advised not to go into debt. The world situation is not stable, and we should watch our expenditures very carefully. Certainly the City Council should do the same.
