Can you guess your favorite celebrity's feet? The Salt Lake County Library System is sponsoring a "Famous Feet" guessing event at the East Millcreek Library, 2266 E. Evergreen Ave., and Holladay Library, 2150 E. Murray-Holladay Road, on Thursday, July 1, during regular library hours. You must be in grades six through 12 to enter.

The free comic book day at all 18 Salt Lake County libraries on Saturday, July 3, is another youth, reading-oriented event. Co-sponsored by Night Flight comics, patrons of all ages can drop by any one of the libraries that day to pick up a free comic, while supplies last.

Elmo's World of Monsters and Magic is another summer event taking place in the Salt Lake City Library System. Next performance is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the Day-Riverside Branch Library, 1575 W. 100 North. This is a collection of magic tricks and stories.

The Sprague Branch Library, 2131 S. 1100 East, will host a "Dinosaur Diorama" on at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8. This is part of the continuing summer reading program for kids.

Two more unusual library events will be the "Silly Shoe Day" on Wednesday, July 7, during regular hours at the Draper Library, 12441 S. 900 East, and on Wednesday, July 7, 7 p.m., the "Ugliest Shoe Ever Contest" at the Park Library, 4870 S. 2700 West.
