I am a fluent Spanish speaker (served an LDS Spanish-speaking mission) and love the Hispanic people tremendously.
In your story, you implied that ProjectUSA "had planned to challenge the rights of foreign-born voters to cast ballots." This, of course, is completely untrue. In a continuing effort to protect the sanctity of the vote, ProjectUSA wisely pointed out a loophole in our laws, wherein foreigners who are not citizens can register to vote. The concern is that foreigners who are not citizens will vote.
I am sure you can see why this would be important. With current events the way they are, it is absolutely critical that only those who hold a stake in our rights and government be allowed to participate. I encourage you to educate your readers that it is in their own best interest to work to ensure that our Latin brothers and sisters come into our country legally, so that they can have the same rights to participate as everyone else.
