"Following the Music," a documentary about avant-garde musical act the California Guitar Trio, is coming to the Vine Street Theater tonight and Saturday.

The film looks at the members of the three-piece ensemble, who trained with guitar legend Robert Fripp and joined his League of Crafty Guitarists before striking out on their own.

"Following the Music" is not rated but would probably receive a G.

Filmmaker Scott Lambson and California Guitar Trio member Paul Richards, a Utahn, will be in attendance for a post-screening, question-and-answer session.

Showtime for "Following the Music" is 8 p.m. The Vine Street Theater is at 184 E. Vine (4840 South). Admission is free (706-2225, www.cgtrio.com or www.stonechapelfilms.com).
