NBA Finals (7 p.m., Ch. 4): Game 5 — Lakers at Pistons

Next Action Star (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Shouldn't there be a limit on the number of reality shows one person can be on? One of the finalists here, Dan Wells, is on his third. He was on the little-seen NBC series "Lost"; then he was one of the straight guys pretending to be gay on Bravo's "Boy Meets Boy" in 2003. (If you saw him on "Lost," when he expressed how uncomfortable he was going into a gay bar, it killed any suspense over whether he was gay or straight on "Boy.") Oh, and you might have seen him playing a stripper on a recent episode of "Gilmore Girls." Whatever the case, three reality shows are at least two too many.

Bernie Mac (7 p.m., Ch. 13): Wanda wants to send Bryanna to a therapist. (A repeat follows at 7:30 p.m.)

Gilmore Girls (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Dean invites Rory to his wedding. (Repeat)

The Jury (8 p.m., Ch. 13): A man is charged with the murder of his mail-order bride.

Summerland (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Brandin experiments with pot.

Joe Shmo 2 (8 and 9 p.m., Spike): Proving once again how stupid people are — or, at least, how stupid people are desperate to be on a reality TV show — we're back with a second season of faux reality. (Which, come to think of it, makes this a lot like most "reality" shows.) Anyway, the premise is basically the same, only two dummies are played for fools. A young man and a young woman think they're taking part in a "Bachelor"-like dating show, but everybody involved but them is an actor, and the joke is on them.

Sex and the City (8 and 8:35 p.m., TBS): Scrubbed-up episodes of this essentially R-rated show make their debut on basic cable. It's sort of " . . . and the City," what with everything they've had to eliminate or replace.

Blow Out (10 p.m., Bravo): Will Jonathan's new salon open on schedule?

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (11 p.m., Bravo): The Fab Five help a tattooed, greasy-haired straight guy whose Iggy Pop look no longer fits the lifestyle of a nearly 40-year-old professional dad.

The Shield (11 p.m., FX): The third-season finale is fiercely enthralling — Vic gets his showdown with the head of the Armenian mob and has another with members of his strike team. As always, this is adults-only fare, but it's still TV's best cop show.
