In response to Mayor Mont Evans' comments in Geoffrey Fattah's article of June 11: By claiming that Dave Hogue is using this referendum issue as a campaign tactic, the mayor is admitting his own opposition to the will of the people and is substantiating Hogue's position as a true representative of the people.
Hogue could not possibly garner any votes by acting in opposition to the people's will and wishes. In my opinion, he has demonstrated true integrity in the face of opposition. We need more elected officials like Hogue.
