Draper City Councilman Ryan Davies is leaving his post to attend Harvard Business School, city officials announced Friday.
Davies, a vice president of interactive health care company WorldDoc, was elected to the council in 2001. His resignation will be effective July 20. The City Council that day will appoint a replacement to fill the remainder of his term, which expires at the end of 2005.
"Ryan Davies has been an excellent member of the Draper City Council," Mayor Darrell Smith said in a prepared statement. "While I am proud of his decision to further his education at Harvard, I realize how much we will miss his outstanding service."
Draper residents interested in filling the vacancy can call Linda at 576-6502 or visit www.draper.ut.us for information.
