Classic rock, Christian rock and country along with "Weird Al" Yankovic will be performing at the Grandstand during the Utah State Fair, Sept. 9-19.
This year, "Cultivating New Traditions" will be the State Fair theme. "We continue our commitment to provide quality, diverse, and affordable entertainment at the State Fair," said fairpark executive director Rick Frenette. "The free shows are an example of this commitment."
Here's the schedule: Thursday, Sept. 9: The Miss Utah State Fair Scholarship Program is included with the fair's gate admission, which is $1 per person on opening day. Gates open at 3 p.m., with the program beginning on the Grandstand stage at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 11: Newsboys, 7:30 p.m., $19
Sunday, Sept. 12: Grand Funk Railroad, 7:30 p.m, $19 (advance purchases include fair admission)
Monday, Sept. 13: Joe Nichols, 7:30 p.m., $19 (advance purchases include fair admission)
Tuesday, Sept. 14: Crestmark Orchestra at 7:30 p.m., free (with paid fair admission)
Wednesday, Sept. 15: Carolyn Dawn Johnson, the Bellamy Brothers, 7:30 p.m., free (with paid fair admission)
Friday, Sept. 17: Pat Green, 7:30 p.m., $15 (advance purchases include fair admission)
Saturday, Sept. 18: "Weird Al" Yankovic, 7:30 p.m., $19 (advance purchases include fair admission)
Sunday, Sept. 19: Jessica Andrews, 4 p.m, $10 (advance purchases include fair admission)
