I disagree with W. Andrew McCullough (Readers' Forum, May 21), who suggested that addiction to work, stamp collecting and video games is no different than addiction to pornography. While all addictive and compulsive behaviors may hinder relationships and normal life, pornography addiction can lead to destroyed marriages, lost careers and criminal activities.
Hats off to John Harmer and the Lighted Candle Society, who are striving to raise awareness and financial support to protect our nation's citizens and communities from the harm of pornography. I suggest that citizens learn more about the mission and leadership of the Lighted Candle Society by logging on to the Web site, www.lightedcandlesociety.org.
