Protect yourself from identity theft

• Do not disclose personal information unless you know how it will be used.

• Check your credit report regularly, but be certain to ask for a report based on your Social Security number, not just your name.

• Ask your bank or credit union to require a photo ID and a password for all transactions from your account.

• If you feel you've been a victim, or to learn more about identity theft, visit the Utah Attorney General's Web site at www.attorneygeneral.utah.gov/CA/IdFraudMain.htm.
