OGDEN (AP) A 16-year-old boy is being investigated as a possible accomplice in the alleged kidnapping of a woman at Weber State University, Weber County Attorney Mark DeCaria said
DeCaria did not say how the suspect, Scott Allen Rainford, 34, knew the juvenile.
Charging documents filed last month against Rainford say the teen drove a borrowed van as Rainford, a former Ogden police reserve officer, allegedly assaulted his estranged wife after her abduction from a campus parking lot.
Rebecca Rainford, 34, a WSU student, was taken to a Kaysville motel, where police found her tied up and where they arrested her husband.
Campus police had been tipped by another student, who heard a crying noise and saw a van with legs hanging out of it. She wrote down the license plate number and notified campus police.
