Utah

GOLF: Utah senior Garrett Clegg was named to the All-MWC team after concluding the season with a 7-over par 223 (79-72-72) at the 2004 Mountain West Conference championships on Saturday. Clegg was the lone Ute selected to the team, and it was the second consecutive year that he has made the all-conference team. Over the course of the season, Clegg had a victory at the Wolf Pack Invitational with a score of 205 (69-68-68) and second-place finishes at the Countrywide Intercollegiate (69-74-69-212) and the Braveheart Classic (74-77-72-223). He also finished third at the Falcon Invitational to start the season.

BYU/USU

SOFTBALL: The BYU-Utah State softball game scheduled for today in Logan has been canceled because of complications with Utah State's travel schedule. The Cougars will finish out their Mountain West Conference season this weekend with road games against UNLV on Thursday and San Diego State on Saturday.

BASKETBALL: Head coach Stew Morrill will conduct two Aggie basketball camps this summer. The first camp will be a boys day camp from June 14-17. BASKETBALL: Josh Neeley, a 6-foot-2 point guard, has signed to play at Portland State for former BYU assistant Heath Schroyer. Neeley, who prepped at Cottonwood High School, led the Scenic West Athletic Conference in assists with 5.3 per game.

Southern Utah

BASEBALL: Junior shortstop Jason Ruiz has been named Mid-Continent Conference baseball player of the week after his performances this past weekend vs. Centenary. Ruiz batted .647 with three multihit games, a double, a stolen base, an RBI and five runs scored in the four-game series.

SOFTBALL: Jentry Johnson has been named this week's Mid-Continent Conference player of the week following the Thunderbirds' series sweep of UMKC last weekend. Johnson, a sophomore first baseman from Sandy (Hillcrest High), hit .727 (8-for-11) with four doubles and a home run.
