Even before he left his job as Utah basketball coach in January, Rick Majerus had discussed the possibility of working for ESPN-TV as a college basketball analyst.
It looks like Majerus will indeed be working for ESPN next season.
A publicist for ESPN confirmed Monday that Majerus will be working for the all-sports station later this year.
"Something will be announced later in the week," said the publicist. "I don't have any other information right now."
Before the 2003-04 season, Majerus had talked to ESPN about working as an analyst and some friends urged him to do it for his health's sake. But Majerus wanted to coach another year. He coached until Jan. 28, when he resigned for health reasons.
