Students from 11 high schools will raise money Tuesday for Operation Smile in a Strikes for Smiles Bowl-a-Thon at Fat Cat's Bowling Alley in Salt Lake City.

More than 200 students will collect sponsorship money to help the not-for-profit medical services organization, which provides reconstructive facial surgery for children worldwide. The bowlers hope to raise several thousand dollars.

The Utah Chapter of Operation Smile was founded in 1988 by two local surgeons. More information is online at www.operationsmile.org.
