• Anchor investor: James Lee Sorenson, Utah entrepreneur, who contributed $75 million of the total fund.
• Managing partners: Include Fraser Bullock, Richard Lawson, Tim Layton, Ron Mika and Steve Young.
• Boston link: Robert C. Gay, managing director of Boston-based Bain Capital, is a member of the fund's investment advisory committee.
• Other investors: Include Adams Street Partners LLC, Wilshire Private Markets Group, Grove Street Advisors for CalPERS and the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.
• Management: The fund is managed and controlled by Salt Lake-based West Rim Capital.
