Dates and the field have been set for the Rocky Mountain Revue, the annual NBA summer league held at Salt Lake Community College.
At least three and up to four games will be held every day from July 16-24.
Eleven teams comprised of NBA rookies, free agents and youngsters are scheduled to participate, including the host Jazz. The others: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Indiana, Phoenix, Portland, San Antonio and Seattle.
Seven of the 11 are non-playoff lottery teams, meaning several of the top selections in this June's NBA Draft are likely to participate.
One other potential participant: Euroleague Final Four qualifier CSKA, the Moscow-based Russian League team for which Jazz All-Star forward Andrei Kirilenko previously played.
CSKA already is scheduled to take part in a California summer league, and it's possible the Russian team could play a couple of Revue games as well.
The Jazz reportedly are scheduled to play an October preseason game against CSKA in Moscow, though the NBA has not yet formally announced those plans.
JACKSON'S PLANS: With his Houston Rockets now eliminated from the playoffs, former Jazz backup point guard Mark Jackson the NBA's No. 2 all-time assists leader behind retired Jazz star John Stockton is weighing his options for the future.
Continuing to play, broadcasting or coaching are all possibilities but it's apparent coaching continues to be his highest priority.
"I've always had that as a goal," Jackson told the Houston Chronicle. "I think as a point guard and what I do, I've been an assistant coach for 17 years at the professional level the way I play the game and the way I study it and the way I lead.
"I like the chess match," he added. "I like instilling stuff in people and watching it blossom, making people better. And I like pushing buttons. I like trying to find the right buttons to push, and there's an unbelievable high when it works out, when a guy responds."
CLARK RESIGNS: Longtime Jazz assistant trainer and equipment manager Terry Clark has resigned, the team confirmed Friday.
Clark worked 20 seasons for the Jazz, beginning in 1984-85.
No immediate successor has been named.
MALONE, MILLER INTERVIEWS: Former Jazz star and current Los Angeles Laker Karl Malone is the subject of ESPN's upcoming "Sunday Conversation" extended-interview segment, scheduled to air for the first time during Sunday's 8:30 a.m. SportsCenter, and again during Sunday's 9 p.m. SportsCenter.
Later Sunday, Jazz owner Larry H. Miller will be a guest and take telephone calls from viewers on KSL-TV Ch. 5's 10:30 p.m. SportsBeat.
